Variances
It is the District’s intention to issue permits for improvements that meet SBDD’s Design Criteria. However, there are occasions when an improvement deviates from SBDD standards, and are beyond the scope of a standard SBDD Permit. In those instances, the property owner may apply for a variance from the District, provided certain pre-requisites are met.
Applicants should refer to Chapter 9 of the District’s Criteria Manual for the requirements and procedures for filing a Variance Request with SBDD.
All Variances must be approved by the SBDD Board of Commissioners.
